Xiaomi is now the world's top smartphone vendor and it will continue its growth further because it's not just into the smartphones but also into several electronic gadgets ranging from $1 to $100. Xiaomi launches smartphones every month and after the debut in Spain, it's trying to expand its market into other European nations.
Apart from just launching new smartphones and expanding into new markets the Chinese smartphone giant also cares about software update in your device. After MIUI 10 launch in May 2018, we expecting a big launch in terms of MIUI 11 which is expected to be the next major update to Xiaomi's mobile software.
MIUI 11 update
Talking about the Xiaomi Android versions there will be minor updates like 10.1, MIUI 10.5 before we will have the bigger MIUI 11 update.
What is MIUI 11?
Although Xiaomi's smartphone runs on Android platform but they use a custom skin(user interface) on their Mi and Redmi smartphones. This is because Xiaomi wants to include all the Xiaomi apps, generally referred as bloatware(apps installed by smartphone vendor).
The exclusion list includes the Xiaomi Mi A1 and A2 smartphones, which are the Android One smartphones that run on the stock Android version.
Although it's very early to talk about MIUI version right now, people are more eager to know what might be included in the upcoming update to the phone that they own.
Xiaomi Android P update
Xiaomi MIUI 11 is expected to be based on Android 9.0 P version. Google is in on the verge of announcing a name for Android P after launching two developer previews. It will be named of a dessert name starting with letter P and most probably it will be called as Android Pancake or Android Pastry or Android Popcorn. The MIUI 11 is expected to carry all the features that come inside the Android 9.0 P version along with that it includes where are other Xiaomi tweaks.
MIUI 11 Features
Anyone who is looking to update to latest firmware, looks out for changelog section to know the latest features that are included in the update. The next MIUI version is expected to bring a host of new features.
Advanced AI: Artificial intelligence and Machine learning in smartphones is the next big thing that is coming up. Although its implemented in most 2018 smartphones but is expected to get a facelift early next year. That's truly on the cards but the full set of features aren't known yet.
The Xiao AI which is currently available for China with Chinese language only supported, the Xiao AI might get launched in other countries like Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Spain and other western European countries. Smoother Performance & Stability Improvements: Further, every software update is meant to include smoother performance and stability improvements along with battery life tweaks.
MIUI 11 Release Date
Talking about the MIUI 11 release date, as matter of fact, new versions are announced during Xiaomi annual anniversary celebration. MIUI 10 was announced May 31st along with Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer and Mi 8 SE smartphones.
MIUI11 is expected to be unveiled at Xiaomi’s 2019 anniversary celebration which is on May 31, 2019.
The roll out will happen gradually and mostly it will arrive in the third quarter next year.

Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to run on MIUI 11 version out of the box. Both are expected to get launched at Xiaomi's 11th-anniversary celebration next year. Atleast that has been the trend so far.
According to MyDrivers the upcoming MIUI version will focus on the real needs of consumers and surely it will be the 11 version update as we are talking about. As of now it's not clear what company means by "real needs" but it has certainly something to do with the Artificial intelligence.
Note: The list happens to be introductory list and further it's expected, which means that Xiaomi hasn't confirmed anything officially yet.
